The Sufrider Foundation is a grassroots volunteer organization. There are many different ways to get involved and a variety of roles to suit your interests and skills. If you have any special interests or skills please let us know. If you have the interest, but lack the experience be sure to attend one of our Core Volunteer Orientations. Also, please like, comment, repost, and be active on all our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube channels.
Becoming a member and joining our local movement is the best way to get involved but there are several other methods like attending cleanups, tabling events, and being aware of when there’s a good surf. Pay attention to promising surf forecasts and meet us out in the water, if you don’t have gear we will try to get you some! Drop us an email, and post questions on our social media sites, we will get back to you within 24 hours.
Have you been wanting to get involved with our chapter, but don’t know where to start? The best way is to first fill out our general interest form and follow our events posted on here and on our Facebook event page. Throughout the first year, our chapter has generated over 550 supporters, and we hope you can join as well. Email our Chair at firstname.lastname@example.org for more details or to be added to the mailing list.
We’ve tabled at events like the Brett Dennen concert at Turner Hall Ballroom, the Environmental Film Festival, the Bonfire at the Beach series at Bradford Beach, the largest surf festival in the Midwest the Dairyland Surf Classic in Sheboygan, International Surfing Day events, and even more concerts. In addition to these events we have offered stand up paddle board demos at the Urban Island Beach party with 2,000 people in attendance, and are always up for a paddle or surf!
