Beach Cleanups

The Surfrider Foundation Wisconsin Great Lakes Chapter and Bradford Beach and Grant Park coordinate cleanups typically one every three months. We have had multiple beach cleanup events removing over 1,800 pounds of trash from our Wisconsin shoreline. With all these accomplishments, we realize we’re young, we’re still growing, and we’re still in need of support to help expand our reach and impact.

We encourage everyone to bring their own reusable bag, bucket, grabber or work gloves if possible. We will continue to supply bags, buckets, gloves and grabbers but we are moving away from single-use items of this nature. Help us Rise Above Plastics by reducing your plastic footprint!

Please wear comfortable clothes, closed toed shoes, a hat and sunscreen if it’s hot. Also, don’t forget to bring your own water in reusable containers since many of the water stations are shut down during cleanups. If you’re a business looking to sponsor an already scheduled beach cleanup or looking to organize a private beach cleanup, please email our Chair at chair@wisconsin.surfrider.org!
