Wisconsin Great Lakes ChapterChapter Description More Details
I would like to take a moment to introduce myself as the new Wisconsin Surfrider Great Lakes Chair after taking over at the end of 2012. My name is Becky Leisch and I have been part of the chapter for over two wonderful years.
Included below is a brief history of the Surfrider Foundation in addition to my personal connection to the Surfrider Foundation.
A little over 25 years ago three people in Malibu, California found out that their favorite wave was about to be destroyed. Think about that for a second. Think about something you love… something that gives you enjoyment. Taken away. The quintessential perfect California wave was about to be destroyed.
We have had a very exciting couple years being a part of the Surfrider family, had a tremendous year in 2012, and are looking forward to an even better 2013. Below you can find a calendar of events for the upcoming year, and you can also view it online here. We hope to see YOU at any of the events listed and don’t remember to become a member if you haven’t already!
